Since her relapse, Fawcett has undergone seed radiation and traveled to Germany for alternative and holistic therapies. Reports broke in April 2009 that the cancer had metastasized.

In May 2009, Farrah’s Story, a documentary filmed by Fawcett and her friend Alana Stewart, aired to an intial audience of more than 9 million. The show chronicled Fawcett’s battle with the cancer.

Farrah fawcett anal cancer update

For the past two years, Farrah Fawcett, 62, has been battling cancer. She has fought this disease with much courage and has had much support from her friends, family, and especially from Ryan O’Neal who has been her partner for many years. Together, they have a son named Redmond.

According to her doctors she appears to be in her final weeks, and Ryan and Farrah are closer than they have ever been in their lives. He is at her side without fail. It has been confirmed that recently the couple were close to getting married while in Germany, but close family friend, Joan Dangerfield, says that Ryan and Farrah never had time to get the proper papers in order.

It was once believed that O’Neal was planning to produce and release a sequel to her documentary “Farrah’s Story” detailing her fight with cancer, but Ryan has confirmed that there will be no such film released.

Seemingly, Farrah was feeling a bit better because a steak from her favorite restaurant was ordered and she ate in while sitting up in bed. This is a considered a good sign because normally people in stage four cancer do not have the desire to eat.

If nothing else this new development shows how much determination Farrah has to live. Farrah, her family, friends and her many fans continue to pray that she will recover from her disease.

Actress Farrah Fawcett’s very public battle with anal cancer was chronicled in painful detail in her recently aired NBC documentary “Farrah’s Story”. But, despite earlier predictions, the actress is still alive, but just barely. She is currently making a sequel with the help of her friend Alana Stewart, who also helped film and produce “Farrah’s Story”.

NBC executives announced that they are considering buying this as yet untitled sequel. According to the New York Post, Fawcett’s family members claim there is already enough filmed material to put together a sequel now.

O’Neal reported to the press that Fawcett has watched “Farrah’s Story” as it was being broadcasted to the nation. He reported that she had a very low pulse before the broadcast, but that it steadily rose throughout the show.

Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006. After an initial treatment in Germany appeared successful, it was then discovered that the cancer had spread to her liver. It is unoperable.

Actress Farrah Fawcett in LA hospital (UPDATE)

Farrah Fawcett’s former producer admitted to several news sources including the Associated Press and RadarOnline

Farrah Fawcett’s former producer admitted to several news sources including the Associated Press and RadarOnline.com that the actress was checked into a Los Angeles hospital, but is “not on death’s door.” This news comes out just as reports are confirmed that her son 24-year-old Redmond O’Neal was arrested Sunday morning on charges of trying to smuggle drugs into a country jail.

Farrah Fawcett began her career in the late 1960’s doing commercials and TV guest spots. A Pro Arts Inc pin up poster and a starring role in the hit series Charlie’s Angels propelled her to stardom. After leaving the show she continued to star in movies and on television and has received three Emmy Award nominations.

Her decade long marriage to Lee Majors the star of The Six Million Dollar Man ended in 1982 and Fawcett became romantically involved with actor Ryan O’Neal. Redmond O’Neal their son was born in 1985. Redmond’s history of drug problems and arrests started in his teens.

Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in October of 2006 and began treatment for the condition including chemotherapy immediately. On the star’s 60th birthday, she publicly announced that she was cancer free and hoped her story would inspire others to fight the disease.

According to the Los Angeles Times Redmond O’Neal was arrested during a routine security check in the parking lot of the Pitches Detention South Facility in Santa Clarita, California. Redmond was already on probation for an earlier arrest and guilty plea last June involving charges of possession of crystal methamphetamine and heroin.

Reports soon followed that Farrah Fawcett was rushed to the hospital several days earlier and her condition listed as critical. On Monday writer and producer Craig Nevius who’s worked with Fawcett announced her condition wasn’t as serious as initially reported. No announcement has been made regarding why Fawcett is hospitalized, or when she might be released.
