The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Thursday warned consumers not to buy or use two drinks sold as a dietary supplement for sexual enhancement. The drinks were made with an active ingredient, Sulfoaildenafil, an FDA-approved drug to treat Erectile Dysfunction (ED).

Rock Hard Extreme and Passion Coffee are sold and promoted as dietary supplements for sexual enhancement.

The company, Drive Total Energy, has voluntary recalled both drinks following the FDA warnings against them.

The FDA says the undeclared Sulfoaildenafil can have side effects with some prescription medications, such as nitroglycerin, and dangerously bring down an individual’s blood pressure.

Sexual enhancement drugs are not the only thing the FDA is cracking down on. There are three categories of supplements the FDA is getting tough on. They are concerned over three types drugs that are sold in the name of weight-loss, body building and sex enhancement drugs. The FDA notes that these drugs may cause stroke, liver disease and heart attack.

The FDA is encouraging healthcare providers and patients who experienced side effects from these dietary supplements to file reports to the FDA’s MedWatch Safety Information and Adverse Event Reporting Program.
