Former WCW and WWE wrestler Chris Kanyon was found dead in his Queens, NY apartment on Friday, April 2, 2010. The cause of death is an apparent suicide. Kanyon (who’s real name is Christopher Klucsaritis) wrestled for World Championship Wrestling from 1997 to 2001, and then for the World Wrestling Federation from 2001 until 2003. At one point in 2001, Kanyon was the WCW United States Champion and the WCW World Tag Team Champion along with Diamond Dallas Page. He also wrestled in Tag Team matches with Page and Bam Bam Bigelow in a group called the “Jersey Triad”, because all three members were from New Jersey.

The six-foot-four Kanyon made his debut as a member of a tag team duo called “Men at Work” and also included veteran wrestler and former tag-team World Champion Mark Starr.

Kanyon retired in 2004, after a year long absence from the ring, but returned to wrestling in 2005 and wrestled in some independent and charity matches.

After his wrestling career, Kanyon came out and admitted to being homosexual in 2006. He was a deeply troubled man after being an in the closest homosexual in a very macho sport, and reported suffered from depression and bi-polar disorder.
