In a miraculous medical breakthrough, scientists have developed nanobots that can travel through the blood stream and attack tumors. The nanobots actually attack the cancer by performing gene therapy and turning off the cancer growing gene in the tumor.

This type of therapy, called RNA interference, has been a major research point for many scientists and pharmaceutical companies alike. Study after study has shown that RNA plays a key factor in diseases such as cancer, AIDS and even blindness. The only problem the researchers have had is a proper delivery system.

A team of researchers at the California Institute of Technology may have solved this conundrum. They have improvised a delivery system using nano technology. Nanobots are microscopic robots that, in this research study, have been covered with the appropriate gene blocking substance and then sent into the bloodstream.

Initial testing on patients with Melanoma have shown that the nanobots found their way into the tumors and delivered the RNA blocking substance as planned. Extensive research will be required before this method of delivery will be openly available on the marketplace as a treatment for these diseases. The initial testing will be discussed at the upcoming Clinical Oncology meeting in June. Patients and doctors alike are hoping this is a breakthrough they can use, and soon, to treat a variety of cancers and other RNA affected diseases.

  1. Very cool, Good job !!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Innovations makes US the best!!!

  3. We’ll probably sell it to China so they can manufacture it and sell it back to us.

  4. Hi, I believe they are using the name “nanorobot” incorrectly. At this point in time, we don’t have nanorobots. And we will not have them until we develop more tools than a sharp stick ( nano probe on a cantilever ). They must be talking about a molecule that can carry a drug and release it in the presence of another chemical. That is not a robot, that is a chemical.

  5. I HAVE A DISEASE CALLED CEREBAL ATAXCIA AND I AM LOOKING FOR ANYBODY DOING RESEARCH ON NANBOTS FOR HELP WITH THIS DISEASE. I WOULD BE WILLING DO BE THE TEST SUBJECT IF IT WILL HELP OTHERS. PLEASE DO ALL CONTACT OF ME THROUGH EMAIL BECAUSE I HAVE LOST MY VOICE.
