Today, it is being asked if Santa Claus is a public health menace. It has been suggested that his image needs a huge makeover. For many years, a health expert says the jolly big man is just too big to be a good role model for children. It is thought that Santa eats too much and does not exercise enough. The man with the long white beard and over-sized suit (for his over sized belly) is not health conscious, putting him at risk for many health concerns. There is no getting around it. Santa is obese and this places him in a risk group for diabetes and other illnesses related to obesity.
Santa Claus is seen as a medical nightmare because he is overweight, hardly seen walking while always being pulled by reindeer, and many times seen smoking his pipe. An expert at the Nathan Grills of Monash University in Australia says our Christmas icon should get rid of his sleigh and start riding a bicycle or walking. It is believed that the Santa that sits by the fire eating cookies and drinking while smoking a pipe are long gone. Experts believe that this image is just too unhealthy for our youth today; it is time for Santa to become healthier by losing losing the belly and start living a healthier life stye.

So the body image crisis contues further with all our young men and women ..
Suicide rate goes up, unhappiness contunues to increase in this contuing western worlds obsession with perfection and materialism…

Santa has been around for a long time and we didn’t have fat kids then so don’t blame him. I have have never heard a kid say he wanted to be Santa when he grew up. So forget about changing Santa.
Maybe it’s time to target the oveweight and obese young mothers I see so many of these days.
Enough already!!!!! What child does anyone know that would go up to Santa and tell him he is unhealthy.
Why is our world so miserable these days??? Because these so called do gooders are taken our children’s innocence away and therefore the joy for the parents and the child.

Santa Claus and Yuletide is for the children, not for Adults, leave Santa alone and let the children enjoy Yule Time. Yes! I said Yule Time because if has nothing to do with the birth of Jesus or Christianity. Yule time was being celebrated long before Constantine moved Christ’s birthday to that date. It appears that some people lead such a miserable existence that they are determined to ruin everything for everyone. And what easier target would there be than children. They are pathetic.
