Following the news Sunday of the sudden death of actress Britteny Murphy, there have been many reports of the numerous prescription drugs found not only on her nightstand but in the house in general.

Press reports leaked from the Coroner’s office have angered the Coroner who states the death is being listed as natural causes until such a time as the results of the toxicology reports he has ordered come back. The toxicology reports are not expected back for several weeks making reports of her death being a drug overdose only speculation at this time. Of course this leak has launched an internal probe by the Coroners office to find out exactly who let the report out, supposedly before the police were even aware of it!

What we do know is that investigators on the scene found a very large amount of prescription drugs that were not only in her name but in the names of various family members as well as persons that have not yet been identified. The prescription drugs do send up an alarm however as there were a variation of pain medications, several different anti-depressants and bi-polar medications as well as anti-seizure prescriptions. Britteny was also known to be a diabetic and there were prescriptions found as well for the treatment of her Diabetes.
