Studies are now showing that breast cancer survivors have a lower risk of dying and less chance that their cancer will return by eating a soy protein diet.
A study in China showed that those women who ate the most soy protein had a lower chance of dying or of their cancer coming back. This study followed women for about four years and is the largest study known to its kind. Eating soy products consists of drinking soy milk and eating tofu. Other great foods to eat for soy protein are tofu, tempeh, energy bars, and soybeans. There are many studies that show soy is great for the body including a recent heart study that states soy is great for your heart and helps prevent against heart disease.
Whether you have breast cancer or are a survivor of breast cancer research shows this diet can be very good for you. Especially if it will save your life or even help your breast cancer from coming back. This study was conducted in China and the study does state there is a difference between U.S. and Chinese women. The study claims it is difficult to compare because of the screening rates and treatment.
