Can coffee help fight against prostate cancer?Being more than just a morning pick-me-up and warm java experience, coffee may reduce the risk of deadly prostate cancer. This is good news for men that have more than a 1 out of 6 chance in being diagnosed with prostate cancer within their lifetime. Malignant cells within the walnut-sized prostate gland are what causes prostate cancer in men. Conversely, although prostate cancer causes more deaths than any other cancer in developed countries, there seems to be a correlated link between coffee consumption and prostate cancer prevention.

Specifically, the correlation between the preventions of prostate cancer is between men who aggressively consume coffee on a daily basis versus non coffee drinkers. Conversely, with the belief that coffee may reduce the risk of deadly prostate cancer, link is found that drinking it on a consistent basis lowers the risk of obtaining the aggressive forms of prostate cancer. However, research suggests that is not the natural coffee ingredients themselves that works to prevent cancer of the prostate. However, the risk reduction of prostate cancer seems to work with the effect that cancer produces on insulin and hormonal levels.

With the new foundation of research that pronounces that coffee may reduce the risk of deadly prostate cancer, researchers remain optimistic with further research and findings. Will doctors prescribe coffee drinking for prostate cancer in the future? At this point in the research, anything is possible with evidence.
