After a two and half year battle with cancer, Farrah Fawcett is spending her last days in a hospital bed, frail from punishing treatment, hoping for a miracle.
Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006 and went into remission, but the disease returned in 2007. O’Neal was diagnosed with leukemia in 2001. In September, he was arrested on drug charges with son Redmond, 24, who remains in jail for court-ordered drug treatment.
The documentary, “Farrah’s Story,” will air on NBC television on Friday.NBC released excerpts on Wednesday.
Shot with her home video recorder, Farrah’s Story shows an intimate and emotional look at the star’s ordeal, a good deal of it accounted in her own words in her first extensive comments on her struggle.
“I know that everyone will die eventually, but I do not want to die of this disease.
“I want to stay alive. So I say to God, because it is, after all, in his hands: It is seriously time for a miracle,” the actress whose beauty defined a decade says.
“Extra” has learned the 62-year-old Fawcett could be responding to radical new treatment.
O’Neal told “Today”‘s Meredith Vieira that Fawcett “is not afraid” of losing her fight with cancer, but she asked him recently, “Am I going to make it?”
“I think she may have believed that she would survive,” he said. “That’s not how it’s going. She’s had a terrible time in the last year.”

Hello brave lady, I just seen your fight against the demon that has also touched my life.I did not realise that you have been ill. sorry I’m not into HOLLEYWOOD TABLOIDS.
