In what appears to be an ongoing tennis match between Republicans and Democrats with the lives of women around the world being used as the ball, Obama has once again reversed the Bush Administrations decision to not fund abortions to International organizations. Pro-lifers will no doubt be up in arms since they do not want their tax dollars being spent in such a fashion but Pro-choicer’s are cheering the reversal.

International organizations around the world can once again start receiving the necessary funds to properly provide education, guidance, and family planning healthcare to millions of women in under-developed countries. It’s more than just an abortion issue. The funding provides far reaching information to countless women who would otherwise have no choices regarding family planning. Millions of children are born into a world of poverty, famine, and disease where suffering and death is their lot in life. For Obama to take the unpopular stance to give poor women the right to have access to birth control of any kind, abortion included, is something that humanitarians around the globe will get behind. For those who are not happy with this decision there is hope for the future. With history duty bound to repeat itself, the next Republican administration will no doubt come in and reverse Obama’s reversal once again. Life has a cycle and politics does also it appears.
